1. The Core: PCB Fabrication Files (Gerber or Source)

To manufacture the bare board, we need the “blueprint” of your circuitry.

  • Gerber Files (RS-274X preferred): This is the industry standard. Please ensure your export includes:
    • Copper layers (Top & Bottom)
    • Solder Mask layers (To protect the board)
    • Silkscreen layers (For component labeling)
    • Drill files (Excellon format for holes and vias)

    • Designator: (e.g., R1, C10, U5)
    • Quantity: How many per board.
    • Manufacturer Part Number (MPN): To ensure we source the exact IC or LED.
    • Description: (e.g., 10k Ohm, 0603, 1% Resistor).
    • Package/Footprint: (e.g., 0805, QFN-32, SMT).

3. Precision Placement: Centroid File (Pick & Place)

For our automated SMT machines to place components with microscopic accuracy, we need the “GPS coordinates” of your components.

  • Data Required: Designator, X/Y Coordinates, Rotation, and Layer (Top or Bottom).
  • Importance: This is vital for high-density boards used in Smart Home devices where space is at a premium.

4. Visual Guidance: Assembly Drawings & Photos

Even with perfect data, a visual reference prevents errors.

  • Assembly PDF: A clear drawing showing component polarity (like the “+” on an electrolytic capacitor or the “Pin 1” on a chip).
  • Reference Photos: If you have a working prototype or a previous version, high-resolution photos are incredibly helpful for our assembly team.

5. Specialized Requirements (The Details Matter)

For Stage Lighting fixtures that handle high power and heat, please specify:

  • Stack-up Requirements: (e.g., 1.6mm thickness, 2oz copper for high current).
  • Surface Finish: (e.g., HASL, ENIG/Immersion Gold for better soldering).
  • Special Instructions: Does the board require a Metal Core (Aluminum PCB) for heat dissipation? Or a specific Solder Mask Color (like Matte Black for light-absorbing stage components)?
